Seth Lover proudly holds his breadboard prototype guitar. On that day, I had the privilege of visiting Seth Lover at his home in Garden Grove. He graciously explained to me how he conceived the idea of the humbucking pickup. Drawing inspiration from the wiring of transformers in amplifiers, Seth recognized the potential to address the issue of hum noise that plagued guitar pickups.
